Welcome to Switchfly.com! Switchfly is a website dedicated to sharing photos and flies, discussing fly-fishing, and creating an interactive fly fishing community.  Switchfly is not affiliated with a magazine or a company. It is designed specifically for the fly fisher who happens to be stuck behind a computer instead of outside fishing.

I am a 24 year old recent college grad living in Connecticut.  I created Switchfly.com after feeling frustrated with the current fly-fishing sites on the Internet. Most sites are either clutter filled or sell some kind of product, and did not meet my fishing needs. I grew up fishing in Connecticut and on Nantucket. After a two-year stint pursuing a professional hockey career, I recently returned home to Connecticut to figure out what to do with mylife. As I search for the answer I have decided to focus on my passion for fly fishing. I currently spend my time managing Switchfly, along with the Harvard Fly Fishing Club site. In addition to fishing, I enjoy rock climbing, squash, tennis and bowling. I can't wait for the weather to warm so that I can fish almost everyday!
In the future, I plan on adding several things to the Switchfly site.  Users will be able to comment and vote on the gear page.   In the near future users will be able to personalize their profile with pictures, favorites, and more. In the meantime, please post a photo, a fly tutorial, or just enjoy the site.
